Ingredients for Aloo Paratha

For the Dough:
• 2 cups whole wheat flour
• Water, as needed
• Salt, a pinch
• 1 tsp oil (optional)

For the Stuffing:
• 4 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
• 1 small onion, finely chopped
• 2 green chilies, finely chopped
• 1 tsp cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp KPG Guntur Red Chili powder
• 1/2 tsp KPG Garam masala
• 1/2 tsp KPG Amchur powder (dry mango powder)
• Salt, to taste
• Fresh coriander leaves, chopped

For Cooking:
• Ghee or oil, for frying

How to Make Aloo Paratha

Step 1: Prepare the Dough
• In a large bowl, mix whole wheat flour, salt, and a little oil (if using).
• Add water gradually and knead into a smooth, soft dough.
• Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.

Step 2: Prepare the Stuffing
• Heat a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle.
• Add onions, green chilies, and ginger. Sauté until onions turn golden brown.
• Add mashed potatoes, KPG Guntur Red Chili powder, KPG Garam masala, KPG Amchur powder, and salt.
• Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
• Add chopped coriander leaves and let the mixture cool down.

Step 3: Stuff and Roll the Parathas
• Take a small portion of the dough and roll it into a ball. Flatten it slightly and dust it with flour.
• Roll the dough into a small circle. Place a spoonful of the potato stuffing in the center.
• Bring the edges together and seal the stuffing.
• Gently roll the stuffed dough ball into a flat paratha, making sure the filling doesn’t spill out.

Step 4: Cook the Parathas
• Heat a tawa on medium flame.
• Place the rolled paratha on the tawa and cook for about a minute.
• Flip it over, apply ghee or oil, and cook until golden brown spots appear.
• Repeat the process on the other side, ensuring it’s cooked evenly.

Step 5: Serve
